Heron River, located in the picturesque community of Star, Idaho is the ideal location for all the shopping, entertainment and recreational opportunities that the Treasure Valley and Idaho have to offer. An advantage to living in Star and Heron River is that you have the quiet serenity of a small town but the convenience of being close to the city of Boise. In Boise, you will find museums, parks, shopping and plenty of other activities for people that like to every once in a while enjoy the big city life.

Parks and recreation are a top priority at city hall. Star now has its first official park, called Blake Haven Park and it’s just the beginning. Plans are in the works to add a playground and perhaps either soccer and/or ball fields. In the coming months and years you’ll be seeing more new places for outdoor recreation and fun. Along the southern border of the property, near the Boise River, Heron River’s developers have donated a large parcel of land to the City of Star for the creation of a public city park that will connect Heron River to the Star River Walk. The construction schedule for the park is outside of the developers control and is not known at this time.

Highway 16 Extension...

Phase 1 Included building a bridge over the Boise River and constructing the highway between U.S. 20/26 and State Highway 44.

Phase 2 includes finishing the remaining five miles of the highway, building bridges over local roads, and laying the groundwork for interchanges, which will be constructed in a future phase. Construction of Phase 2 could begin as early as Spring 2022. More
